The True Size of Africa Poster, Equal Earth World Map Print, UN World Map 2026

Africa, finally at its true size. On 4 September 2026 the UN General Assembly voted 164 to 1 for the 'Correct the Map' resolution, recommending the equal-area Equal Earth projection in place of Mercator, which shows Greenland as large as Africa although Africa is about 14 times bigger. This print takes the new map, centres it on Africa and lets the continent glow in muted gold against off-white land and deep petrol seas. Beneath the map, three facts in small caps: 30.4 million km² · 14 times the size of Greenland · larger than the USA, China and India combined.
