About CartoClear

CartoClear makes maps that honestly show what the world looks like. Most world maps on walls and in classrooms still use the Mercator projection – great for navigation, but with a huge Greenland and a tiny Africa. CartoClear is run by a geomatics professional from northern Germany who turns equal-area projections such as Equal Earth into beautiful, print-ready maps.

All maps are built from clean, openly licensed geodata (mainly Natural Earth) with our own design – in several languages and sizes.
