Pacific-Centred World Map, Equal Earth Projection Poster, New UN World Map 2026

Every map has a centre, and there is no up in space. On 4 September 2026 the UN General Assembly voted 164 to 1 for the 'Correct the Map' resolution, recommending the equal-area Equal Earth projection in place of Mercator, which shows Greenland as large as Africa although Africa is about 14 times bigger. This print takes that map and shows it centred on 150° East, with Asia, Australia and the Pacific in the middle and the Americas at the edges. Deep petrol seas, off-white land and a fine graticule on a charcoal ground, with the projection named on the sheet. A conversation starter for map lovers, travellers, teachers and anyone who likes to question the familiar view.
