Printing maps yourself – sharp results
Our downloads are print-ready PDF files at their original size. For a sharp, true-to-scale print:
1. Choose the right size
In the print dialog select "Actual size" or "100 %" – not "Fit to page". Otherwise the map is scaled down and margins or scale no longer match.
2. Where to print?
- At home: most printers handle A4, some A3. For larger formats, a copy shop is the better choice.
- Copy shop / online printer: bring or upload the PDF in the size you want and ask for "original size".
3. Paper
- Matte paper of about 170 g/m² or more looks refined and doesn't reflect.
- Glossy photo paper gives vivid colours but can reflect depending on the light.
4. Before the big print
Print one A4 test page: if lines and small labels are sharp, the large format will be too.
5. Finding your files again
Download links are valid for 30 days. With a customer account you'll always find your purchases under "My downloads".
